Matt’s Market Update – July 2018
It’s all about the rain this month.
With crops in most of our markets established, the cool weather and lack of rain have resulted in minimal post-emergent spraying. And compared to last season we estimate spraying is between 4-8 weeks behind, depending on the region.
Consequently, all post-emergent chemicals are in good supply. Prices of post-emergents and fungicides will now be driven exclusively by seasonal conditions, and over the past month, prices have remained stable.
Looking forward to desiccation and summer, it’s clear there are sufficient stocks of all knockdowns in the country, and market prices remain stable.
I understand many of you are longing for an inch of rain; we hope you get it, and the skies open up soon.
